National Apprenticeship Week (7-13 Feb 2022) is a week-long celebration of apprenticeships across England that happens every year. It is a flagship moment in the calendar year for supporters and ambassadors of apprenticeships, uniting them and delivering consistent messages with a strong collective impact.

The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2022 will be ‘build the future’; reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills. To support National Apprenticeship Week 2022, individuals, employers, training providers and communities are being encouraged to get involved, to celebrate apprenticeships and how they: TRAIN apprentices, and future proof their workforce and careers through apprenticeships; RETAIN apprentices, gaining the skills and knowledge needed by the business, and seeing apprentices thrive, whilst having an impact; ACHIEVE a real return on investment from apprentices; realising the business benefits of apprenticeships, with apprentices progressing in their chosen careers.

WHAT IS THE BIG ASSEMBLY?

The Big Assembly is an interactive live digital broadcast that enables students and teachers to engage in conversation about exciting career opportunities, national events, and more.

When is the Big Assembly?

The Big Assembly for National Apprenticeship Week 2022 will take place on Tuesday 8th February 2022 at 11:10am. It will last no longer than 30 minutes.

How does it work?

The Big Assembly can be streamed through our website – www.bigassembly.org – you’ll need to register first.

On the day of our event, you will receive an email from us with details of how to watch it live, make sure you prepare to ask questions as we’ll have a live chat facility for you to interact with us.

It will be available on-demand about 24 hours after the live broadcast.

Will all teachers need to register who want to show it?
Yes. Anyone who wants to watch The Big Assembly will need to register. It’s 100% free and we’ll never give you data to a third party.
Is it a presentation / film for 30 minutes?

The Big Assembly is a live broadcast with a mix of short inspirational films and interactive live discussion, that YOU can get involved with.

Can I ask teachers to just play it without being briefed on what to do?

Yes. Just ask your teacher to register before the event.

Is the Big Assembly available on demand?

All of our previous Big Assembly events are now available for you to watch on-demand and will appear about 24hrs after they were broadcast.
